C2s Take Argentinean WC Slots

C2s are moving in on South American soil taking 2 of the 3 allocated F18 world title spots for Argentina. After 4 days of racing and 12 races at the last qualification event, S ergio Mehl and Juan Martín Benitez took the top spot with ‘bundys old boat’ followed by Ian Rodger and Gastón Terrab.
From the 12 races, Sergio and Ian won 4 each and the final result coming down to the last race with Sergio Mehl putting Sergio Armesto, on another C2, between himself and Ian to take the regatta by 3points.
The Argentinean Qualification series is now complete with C2s taking spots 1 and 3. The Argentinean F18 Association has requested more positions and we look foward to seeing their fleet in LA in September
